Japanese Burnet Pink Brushes
Striking and architectural, this clump-forming perennial, a hybrid of Japanese Burnet, is a standout in any late Summer border. From mid-Summer through to Autumn, it produces masses of large, fluffy, bottlebrush-like flower spikes in a soft, dusky pink. These unique blooms nod gracefully on tall, wiry stems, dancing in the breeze above a base of attractive, deeply-divided grey-green foliage. Pink Brushes is highly prized by pollinators, drawing in bees and butterflies throughout its long flowering season. It is remarkably easy to grow and brings a wonderful "airy" transparency to planting schemes, making it perfect for prairie-style gardens or mixed herbaceous borders. Because the stems are sturdy yet elegant, it also makes an excellent, long-lasting cut flower for indoor arrangements.
