Daffodil Orangery

Daffodil Orangery

A Division 11 (split-corona) daffodil, Narcissus Orangery is a tall bulb, flowering in early to mid-spring. The narrow, sword-shaped leaves are green, the perianth (petals) are creamy-white, and the trumpet is split into six, ruffled, golden-orange segments surrounding a green stigma. Each stem carries a scented, single flower; the split corona or trumpet giving a butterfly-like effect. Daffodil Orangery can be planted as late as December, but September is far better. Can be naturalised in grass, or grown for cut flowers.
