Armenian Grape Hyacinth

Dense, upright spikes of small, urn-shaped flowers make Muscari armeniacum Artist a charming spring-flowering bulb for low borders and container displays. Rising above narrow, dark green foliage, the tightly packed bloom heads display a distinctive two-tone effect, with rich lilac-blue lower florets edged in soft white and paler, icy-blue buds toward the tips. Appearing in mid-Spring, these fragrant blooms serve as a vital early nectar source for emerging bees and other pollinators. Excellent for naturalising in sunny rockeries, underplanting deciduous shrubs, or creating jewel-like carpets along path edges.
