Green Privet
A vigorous, upright semi-evergreen shrub and a familiar urban hedge, this versatile plant has a lot going for it. Ligustrum ovalifolium can be kept very neat, as it responds well to clipping. It is also tough, tolerating some coastal exposure and it will grow in relatively poor soils. It is considered a semi-evergreen hedge, it can be deciduous when young but mostly holds its green leaf year round as it matures. It is fast growing with creamy white flowers in Summer and can tolerate some shade. Very reliable.
