Hyacinth Woodstock
Hyacinthus orientalis Woodstock produces attractive dark, maroon-purple flowers throughout late March and early April. It has a wonderful rich fragrance. Hyacinths are a great introduction to growing for kids as they are easily grown in containers or in a hyacinth glass.
Site: Best protected from wind
Position: Sun or partial shade
Soils: Well-drained, fertile, humus-rich soil. Avoid excessive winter wet.
Planting Period: September to November
Flowering Period: Can flower by xmas if kept indoors or Jan - Feb outdoors
Planting: Depth 6" (15 cm) Spacing 6-8” (15 - 20 cm)
