Plantain Lily Praying Hands
An unusual plantain lily with a very upright habit, Hosta Praying Hands is a compact, herbaceous perennial, with a clump-forming habit. The pointed, ovate, heavily wrinkled, leaves, folded along their length, are deep green with glossy undersides and a narrow, pale creamy-yellow margin, and are very upright. Spires of pale lavender, bell-shaped flowers are borne on tall stems in summer. Mulch in spring. Watch out for slugs, the nemesis of hostas! Plantain lily Praying Hands holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
