Hedera colchica Paddy’s Pride - Persian Ivy
Also known as Persian Ivy and Sulphur Heart, Hedera colchica Paddy’s Pride is a handsome, very vigorous, evergreen, self-clinging climber with glossy, heart-shaped variegated leaves of deep green splashed with golden yellow and yellowish-green. Green flowers in autumn are followed by back berries, a useful source of winter food for birds. Persian Ivy Paddy’s Pride can really light up a shady area, and is useful for covering ugly structures. Harmful if eaten. Holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
