Snow Gum
A smaller tree, Eucalyptus pauciflora subsp. niphophila is a slow-growing, evergreen tree, with a spreading habit and beautiful, flaking cream, green and grey bark; the young shoots have an attractive white bloom. The narrow, aromatic leaves are elliptical, 4”/10cm long, and grey-green. Creamy-white clusters of flowers appear in late spring and early summer. It must have shelter when the tree is young, and a slightly acidic to neutral soil. Snow gum holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
