A dwarf cider gum with the lovely colouring and eucalypt aroma of its big cousins, Eucalyptus gunnii France Bleu is a very small, slow-growing, evergreen tree, with an open, bushy habit and attractive, patterned bark. The juvenile leaves are round and silvery-blue, highly aromatic, and very good for cutting. Without pruning, the older leaves turn sage-green and sickle-shaped, so to preserve the attractive juvenile foliage prune back hard to about 6”/15cm every spring, maintaining a clear trunk. Cider Gum France Bleu is easy to grow, and ideal for growing in the smallest garden or in soil-based compost in a large container – perfect for a patio.
