Barrenwort Frohnleiten

An evergreen Barrenwort with remarkable dark green bronze-flushed foliage. Epimedium x perralchium Frohnleiten is well suited at the front of a shady border or next to woodland plants. Barrenwort Frohnleiten is a low growing clump forming plant, an excellent choice for a groundcover. Small yellow star shaped flowers start to appear in early spring on delicate wiry stems high above the heart shaped glossy leaves. Epimedium x perralchium ‘Fronleiten’ will tolerate full sun as long as it is kept moist. A very versatile Epimedium that looks very well in containers with spring flowering bulbs.
