Dianthus Flashing Light

Forming a low, dense mat of slender, blue-grey leaves, this classic cottage-garden favourite delivers an eye-catching display from early Summer right through into Autumn. Abundant, single, ruby-crimson flowers with deep, dark central rings and delicately fringed petals rise on short, wiry stems just above the cushion of foliage. The blooms carry a sweet, clove-like fragrance that reliably attracts bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Exceptionally free-flowering and drought-tolerant once established, it is a perfect choice for adding long-lasting, vibrant colour to dry border edges, rockeries, and gravel plantings.
