Rosa Surrey

Rose Surrey

A hardy, repeating rose, Rosa Surrey is a quite large, for a ground cover rose, deciduous, shrub rose with a bushy, spreading habit. The abundant foliage is deep green, setting off the flowers beautifully. Profuse clusters of double, soft pink flowers, coloured deeper in the centre, are borne from midsummer to autumn. Ideal for planting on a bank, but as these drain fast, mulch with compost, manure or leaf-mould in early spring, and for best flowering, give organic feed at the same time. Also good in beds and borders, especially in cottage-style plantings. Dead-head to prolong flowering, and lightly prune in March. Rose Surrey holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
