One of the best of the repeat-flowering Bourbon roses, Rosa Louise Odier is a deciduous, old shrub rose, of average vigour, with a strong, bushy habit. The mid-green foliage is divided into slightly serrated, ovate leaflets. From July to September, it bears masses of fully double, camellia-like, lilac-pink blooms, with a strong, rich, slightly fruity, Old Rose fragrance. The long flower-stems make it good for cutting, and it has a good vase-life. With its free-flowering nature, shrub rose Louise Odier is ideal for a mixed border, but can also be trained as a short climber on a wall or pergola. Plant near a bench or table to enjoy the wonderful fragrance.
