Lesser Periwinkle Ralph Shugert
A diminutive, variegated form of lesser periwinkle, Vinca minor Ralph Shugert is ideal for bringing a suggestion of light into a shady corner. It’s a small, low, evergreen shrub with a trailing, mat-forming habit, rooting as it spreads, and particularly good as ground cover beneath roses. The small, ovoid leaves are deep green with a narrow creamy-white margin. From April to September, it bears large, vivid, violet-blue flowers. Lesser periwinkle Ralph Shugert holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
