Trachelospernum jasminoides Star Of Toscana

Star Jasmine Star of Toscana

A stunning and highly fragrant evergreen climber, Trachelospermum jasminoides 'Star of Toscana' is a sophisticated twist on the classic Star Jasmine. This woody, twining vine is celebrated for its abundant clusters of creamy, buttery-yellow flowers that emerge in mid to late Summer, offering a richer colour than the common white variety. The star-shaped blooms release an intense, sweet perfume that can fill an entire garden on warm evenings. Its leathery, oval leaves are a glossy dark green, providing a lush backdrop year-round and often taking on attractive bronze tints during the winter months. 'Star of Toscana' is perfect for training up south-facing walls, trellises, or pergolas near seating areas where its scent can be fully appreciated. Whilst it is not for the coldest areas, it can be grown in loam-based compost in a container and brought in for the winter. Prune after flowering or in early spring to keep it within its support.
