Becoming a popular willow for smaller gardens, Salix purpurea pendula is grafted onto a straight stem at varying heights for ornamental purposes. Its red/yellow stems will droop down gracefully, eventually touching the ground. The early spring catkins have an interesting texture and beautiful appearance and its quirky shape makes an interesting focal point all year round.
