Robinia pseudoacacia Lace Lady

Black Locust Lace Lady

Striking, twisted branches and tightly curled, bright green leaves give Robinia pseudoacacia 'Lace Lady' (also known as Twisty Baby) an extraordinarily sculptural silhouette year-round. This compact, slow-growing dwarf False Acacia/Black Locust is a magnificent accent plant for small gardens, courtyards, and patio containers, where its unusual zig-zagging stems and contorted foliage create an eye-catching visual focal point. In Spring, tiny, fresh-green, rounded leaflets emerge along the winding shoots, expanding into dense, pendulous clusters of wavy, fern-like foliage. As Autumn approaches, the leaves transform into clean shades of butter-yellow before revealing the shrub's dramatic, architectural framework for the Winter months. Exceptionally hardy, low-maintenance, and resistant to heat and poor soil, 'Lace Lady' brings year-round structure and unique personality to any garden setting.
