Pachysandra terminalis Green Sheen

Japanese spurge Green Sheen

An invaluable plant for ground-cover in shade, Pachysandra terminalis Green Sheen is a relatively new variety with glossier darker foliage, it is a ground-hugging, mat-forming, evergreen sub-shrub. Year-round, the creeping stems bear short, upright branches bearing rosettes of glossy, light-reflecting, deep-green, ovate leaves with markedly serrated edges. Spikes of small white flowers are borne in early summer. Japanese spurge is quite slow to establish, but will eventually spread to form a dense mat. Fantastic for underplanting and also a deer resistant plant.
