Olearia cheesmanii

Cheeseman’s Daisy Bush

A charming large shrub, best grown on the milder coastal areas, Olearia cheesmanii is an evergreen shrub with a broadly columnar habit and downy young shoots. The foliage is distinctive; narrow, leathery glossy, grey-green and slightly toothed above and with soft buff or silvery down below. In spring and summer, branching clusters of small, daisy flowers, with white ray florets and golden, fertile centres, appear in late spring and early summer. Good in a coastal garden, as it’s very wind-resistant.
