Magnolia Fairy White

A beautiful, mainly spring-flowering magnolia, ideal for smaller gardens, Magnolia Fairy White ® is a fairly fast-growing, semi-evergreen shrub with a compact, rounded, bushy habit. The ovoid, glossy, deep green leaves are evergreen in milder areas, but may fall in harsh winters. From March to May, russet buds open to pure white, lightly scented flowers, rather like those of a star magnolia, which are borne all along the stems, so you get masses of flowers. More flowers may appear, intermittently, until early autumn. The shrub starts producing flowers when still young. Magnolia Fairy White makes a beautiful specimen shrub, especially in smaller gardens, and can also be used as an informal hedge, as it tolerates clipping back.
