Lychnis coronaria Gardeners' World

Rose campion Gardeners’ World

A sterile form of the familiar dusty miller or rose campion, Lychnis coronaria Gardeners' World does not set seed, and therefore flowers much longer. A clump-forming, semi-evergreen, herbaceous biennial or short-lived perennial, dusty miller Gardeners’ World will tolerate periods of drought and is ideal for a Mediterranean planting or gravel garden. Simple, felted, silvery-grey leaves form at the base, from which rise tall silver-grey branching flower stems in the second and any subsequent years. Double, magenta flowers appear for three months from late June. Keep dead-heading to prolong flowering.
