Hosta Francee

Hosta Francee

One of the best white-margined hostas or plantain lilies, Hosta Francee is a herbaceous perennial with a vigorous, spreading, clump-forming habit. The large, heart-shaped, deeply veined leaves are mid-green to blue-green, with a narrow, creamy-white edge, which will lighten a partially shaded border. In June and July, pretty, lavender-coloured, trumpet-shaped flowers rise above the clump of leaves. Like all hostas, it will need protection against slugs and snails – otherwise, a low-maintenance plant. Hosta Francee holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
