Hebe x franciscana Variegata (Hebe Silver Queen, elliptica variegata)
Commonly known as Hebe Silver Queen, Hebe x franciscana Variegata is a small, upright, evergreen shrub forming a bushy, dome-shaped mound. The rich green, elliptical leaves have a broad creamy margin, and set off the short spikes of pinkish-purple flowers beautifully. The flowers appear from July to September, and are attractive to pollinators. Hebe Silver Queen is a beautiful, easy plant requiring minimal pruning, but is not for the coldest areas. Holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
