Hebe Red Edge
A delightful little shrub for the smallest garden, Hebe albicans Red Edge is a small, bushy, evergreen shrub with a dense, upright habit. Neatly arranged, oval, blue-grey leaves edged with red become redder in cold weather. Short spikes of lilac-coloured flowers, fading to white, are borne in June and July, and are attractive to pollinators. Does best in soil which is not too rich. A charming, low maintenance plant, though not for the coldest areas, Hebe Red Edge holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
