Gooseberry Hinnonmaki Yellow

Gooseberry Hinnonmaki Yellow

This disease-resistant gooseberry reliably produces an abundance of greenish-yellow berries, that ripen half way through the season, by the second season each bush can produce up to 3kg of fruit. The medium-sized fruits are said to have an apricot-like undertone to their flavour, and they are sweet enough to be picked and eaten straight from the bush. Alternatively, they can be used to make jams, pies or crumbles. Bred in Finland, this variety is excellent for organic growing with high mildew resistance.
