A small, evergreen Winter flowering shrub with beautifully fragrant flowers. Daphne odora Aureomarginata has highly scented, purplish pink and white flowers that appear in mid Winter. The leaves are dark green, with a yellow margin that fades to cream with age. Reputedly hardier than the species but still needs a sheltered position. Slow growing. Resents root disturbance once established.Be aware that all parts of the plant are toxic if eaten, and the sap is an irritant.
