Japanese Cedar Elegans Nana

Soft needle-like foliage and dramatic seasonal colour shifts distinguish Cryptomeria japonica Elegans Nana - a slow growing, dwarf Japanese Cedar with a dense, rounded habit. Throughout Spring and Summer, its feathery leaves form a lush canopy of bright sea-green. Then as temperatures drop in Autumn, the foliage transforms to a rich reddish-bronze and deep plum-purple that lasts all through Winter, before returning to green in Spring. Its compact, billowy growth requires no routine pruning to maintain a neat shape, making it an excellent structural accent for rockeries, gravel gardens, or small spaces needing year-round visual interest.

Soil: Moist, well-drained, acidic to neutral soils rich in organic matter; dislikes heavy, waterlogged clay or chalk
