Cherry Stella Compact

Cherry Stella Compact

The Stella Cherry comes from the John Innes Institute in Norwich England. Compact Stella produces a tree that grows to about ½ the size of the original Stella Cherry.

A smaller tree like the name suggests, the Compact Stella Cherry works well for orchards and gardens where space is limited. Growing to a maximum height of 12', it blooms in mid-Spring producing white clustered blooms that yield to deep ruby red fruit.

Self-fertile, and a good pollinator; may crop better if a different variety of cherry is grown nearby.
