Buddleja alternifolia Unique

Buddleja Unique

A dwarf, free-flowering, long-flowering butterfly bush, Buddleja alternifolia Unique is a fast-growing, deciduous shrub with a compact, mound-forming, weeping habit, suitable for quite small gardens. The lance-shaped leaves are silvery grey-green and rather furry. Spires of scented, clustered lilac flowers are borne in June and continue into October, flowering on new season’s wood; it has plenty of nectar for butterflies and other pollinators, but no pollen. It is sterile, so won’t seed about in your garden. Prune Buddleja Unique in March, cutting it hard to the base. Buddleja Unique also does well in a sunny patio pot.
