Apple Rosette
With a strikingly, beautiful marbled interior, Apple Rosette is an unusual early dessert variety that is as delicious as it is intriguing. In mid-Spring, it puts on a lovely display of soft pink-tinged blossom that sets fruit freely. By late August, the branches are dotted with medium-sized, bright red apples that reveal a unique surprise when bitten: crisp white flesh richly feathered with crimson-pink marbling radiating inward from the skin. The flavour is refreshing, sweet, and juicy with subtle berry undertones, and the pink-tinted juice makes an eye-catching fresh cider. Inheriting the robust health of its Discovery parentage, it shows exceptional natural resistance to scab and mildew, and some resistance to canker, making it a reliable low-maintenance choice for chemical-free growing. As a spur-bearing variety with a neat, compact habit, it responds readily to pruning and trains neatly into cordons or espaliers.
