Anemone hupehensis Splendens

Japanese Anemone Splendens

A compact, long-flowering form of Japanese anemone, Anemone hupehensis var. japonica Splendens is a herbaceous perennial with a graceful, suckering habit, ideal for late summer colour in the garden. The attractively cut, semi-evergreen leaves are deep green. From August to October, the plant bears beautiful, saucer-shaped, rose-pink single flowers with a ring of golden stamens round a green eye; they are good for pollinators. Choose the site carefully, as Japanese anemone Splendens can spread rapidly once it has settled in.
