Achillea Terracotta - Yarrow
Grown for its flat heads of tiny flowers, which make a beautiful horizontal line of colour in a border, Achillea millefolium Terracotta is a very good form of ornamental yarrow, a medium-sized herbaceous perennial with delicate, filigree grey-green leaves. In June and July and into August, long-lasting, plate-like heads of terracotta-coloured flowers appear, slowly fading to creamy-yellow. It’s a good plant for wild-life: it’s attractive to pollinators, particularly hover-flies, which are very valuable in the garden, and the seeds will provide food for birds. Cut back to prolong flowering. Achillea Terracotta holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
