Canadian Maple Autumn Flame
Vivid, brilliant scarlet-red foliage turns this compact Red Maple into a wonderful seasonal focal point. Renowned as one of the earliest maples to change colour, 'Autumn Flame' transforms weeks ahead of other varieties, brining much sought after early Autumn colour to gardens and lawn borders. Throughout Spring and Summer, its neat, rounded canopy is clad in mid-green, lobed leaves. As the nights begin to cool, the foliage turns into a glorious display of fiery crimson and scarlet-red. Naturally more compact and slower growing than other Acer rubrum cultivars, it forms a dense, symmetrical shade tree that brings structural interest without overpowering medium-sized garden spaces.
