Abelia grandiflora Pink Pong

Abelia Pink Pong

Abelia grandiflora 'Pink Pong' is a floriferous, semi-evergreen shrub prized for its remarkably long flowering season and fragrant, delicate blooms. From early Summer right into late Autumn, it produces a continuous display of unusually large, bell-shaped flowers in soft shades of pink and lilac. These nectar-rich, tubular blossoms release a sweet honey fragrance that lures bees, butterflies, and other pollinators to the garden for months on end. As the flowers fade, bright reddish-pink sepals remain attached to the branches, maintaining a vibrant splash of colour long into the Winter months. Complementing the heavy floral display is a lush backdrop of glossy, dark green foliage that turns attractive bronze-purple tones as the weather cools. Compact, arching, and exceptionally low-maintenance, 'Pink Pong' brings reliable structure and fragrance to sunny borders, informal hedges, or large patio containers.
