Salix acutifolia Blue Streak is a large deciduous tree with purple, vividly white-bloomed stems and narrow, dark green leaves. Upright, fast growing tree with many uses. It bears early spring catkins on purple-red stems, sure to brighten any location. It is also highly valued by all sorts of wildlife and can grow in smaller gardens if coppiced in March, which will provide consistent winter colour.
