Hydrangea macrophylla Selina

Hydrangea Selina

A compact lacecap from the ‘Dutch Ladies’ series, Hydrangea macrophylla Selina is a small deciduous shrub with a rounded upright habit. The leaves are dark green, flushed a bronzy-purple when young. The flowers come in various shades of pink, purple and violet; on acid soil, the lacecap flowers are violet-blue; on neutral to alkaline soil the fertile florets at the centre are deep pink, and are surrounded by the showy infertile florets, rose-pink with a white eye. Hydrangea Selina flowers from July to October, and is well suited to container growing.
