Daylilies (Hemerocallis) are eye-catching perennials known for their exotic, trumpet-shaped blooms that resemble lilies. The name Hemerocallis comes from the Greek for "beautiful for a day," reflecting the fact that each individual flower lasts for less than 24 hours. However, the plants produce a continuous succession of blooms, ensuring a vibrant and long-lasting display throughout summer and into autumn.
Hemerocallis Pandora’s Box is a lovely petite daylily which produces an abundance of cream flowers with a contrasting cranberry-purple eye and emerald green throat. The flowers are lightly fragrant and bloom in early to mid-summer, with each one lasting only a day but quickly replaced by new buds for a prolonged display.
Easy to grow and low maintenance, ‘Pandora’s Box’ is drought-tolerant once established and also attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
