The flowers have a sweet scent, and appear early – Crocus chrysanthus is sometimes called the ‘snow crocus’. The grassy leaves set off the flowers beautifully. Crocus Fuscotinctus is best planted in September; plant close together, as this crocus likes to be crowded.
