Apple Redcats

Malus domestica Redcats

Apple 'Redcats' is a medium-sized, columnar apple tree with deep red apples. The excellent taste of this variety is often compared to Gala; sweet to mildly sour with a good aroma. The flesh is juicy and crispy. This variety is a 'Columnar' variety, this means that the tree produces (almost) no side branches, and therefore grows to just 15 to 20 cm wide.  As a columnar variety it only makes short lateral branches bearing fruit and needs no pruning.
