Product Description

Allium ursinum - Wild Garlic

A wild relative of chives and native to Europe and Asia, known commonly as Wild Garlic or Ramsons. Allium ursinum carpets damp woodland in April and May with a display of round white, star-shaped flowers and broad long leaves. All parts are edible, the leaves can be eaten in salads or lightly cooked but be sure that there is no mistake in the identification as other similar leaves, such as Lily-of-the-Valley or Wild Arum (Lords and Ladies) are poisonous. If you're in doubt, just smell the leaves and the strong smell of garlic will convince you that it is in fact wild garlic.

Prefers woodland conditions in a moist well-drained soil, but beware Allium ursinum can be invasive as it spreads rapidly in favorable conditions.

MAIL ORDER:

Packing & delivery charges within The Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland are €15 per order.

If your full order is in stock, we usually deliver within a week to 10 days of receiving your order, often sooner. We will get in touch if there are any issues with availability - see Mail Order FAQ’s for more info.

 

DELIVERY:

Shipping times are currently 3 to 10 working days from when we receive your order. We are currently using An Post, DPD, Nightline and Prompto Courier companies.

Once your order has shipped it may arrive the next day or it can take 2 or 3 days for the parcels to arrive, we take special care to pack our plants in such a way that they will still arrive in perfect condition after several days in transit.


Delivery charges to the
rest of the UK are as follows:

€20 for orders up to €100
€35 for orders up to €250
€50 for orders over €250

Please note, there are some height (1.75m max) and other restrictions on what we can ship to the rest of the UK, we will let you know if there are any issues when you place your order.

COLLECTION FROM THE NURSERY:

Orders can be placed online to be collected at the nursery, we just require 24 to 48 hours notice and we will be in touch with any issues with availability and to let you know that your order is ready. Orders must be collected within 2 weeks of placing the order unless otherwise agreed. Please use the discount code COLLECT at the checkout to avail of free collection.

We are very good at tracking plants down with other nurseries if they are available - If you are looking for a plant or a size not listed on our website, please get in touch and we will let you know if it is something we can source for you.
